FC Metz have confirmed that Jessy Deminguet’s (27) move from RC Strasbourg Alsace has been made permanent.

Deminguet joined Metz from Strasbourg last season, initially on loan. Should Les Grenats earn promotion back to Ligue 1, which, of course, they did, the option to make the midfielder’s move permanent would become an obligation. Back in Ligue 1, Metz have now officially confirmed the player’s permanent transfer.

The player made 21 appearances for Les Alsaciens, who, in an official press release, wished Deminguet the best for the future. He played 30 times for Metz in Ligue 2 last season as the club returned to the top-flight via the play-offs, beating Stade de Reims in the final last month. His experience (50 matches in Ligue 1, including 32 with SM Caen), will prove vital for a Metz side that will be looking to stave off relegation back to Ligue 2 next season.
