One altogether noteworthy absence has been noted in the squad of players named by Real Madrid for the club’s upcoming meeting with Real Sociedad.

The player in question? Antonio Rüdiger.

Real Madrid are of course primed to mark their post-international break return to action on Saturday.

A meeting with the aforementioned Real Sociedad lies in wait, at Anoeta.

Xabi Alonso’s troops head into the matchup with sights on a fourth successive victory to open the new campaign.

As alluded to above, though, in efforts towards as much, Los Blancos will be forced to make do without the contributions of a leading member of the club’s backline.

Antonio Rüdiger, it has been revealed, is facing up to an incoming spell on the sidelines.

The German, in turn, has not been called up for the trip to San Sebastian.
