Marmoush ruled out for the Manchester derby

The club explained on its official website:

We can confirm that Omar Marmoush sustained a knee injury while on international duty with the Egyptian national team during the international break.The City forward was injured during Egypt's qualifying match against Burkina Faso on Tuesday night.Scan results carried out in Egypt indicate that he will be unavailable for Sunday's derby. He will now return to Manchester to begin his rehabilitation.Everyone at Manchester City wishes Omar a speedy recovery.

Marmoush left the pitch as early as the 7th minute against Burkina Faso after a heavy collision with an opposing player.Preliminary medical examinations confirmed that the former Eintracht Frankfurt player is suffering from a knee ligament contusion.
