Official: One in, one out as Barcelona name squad to face Espanyol | OneFootball

The squad of players called upon by the coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona for their upcoming meeting with Espanyol has on Thursday afternoon been unveiled.

Barcelona, of course, are set to play out an altogether significant fixture later today.

In the knowledge that a victory would see them officially crowned Spanish champions for 2024/25, the Blaugrana are primed to make the short trip across Catalunya, for a Derbi Barceloní meeting with the aforementioned Espanyol.

Barca’s sole remaining target for the campaign, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of Hansi Flick calling upon a strong group of players to travel to RCDE Stadium.

As much features one returning face, with youngster Pablo Torre having shaken off a recent ankle problem to make the trip.

Dropping out of the Blaugrana’s matchday setup, on the other hand, is Ferran Torres, forced under the knife to solve a case of appendicitis on Wednesday.
