Official – PSG cancel the We Run Paris event

As last year, Paris Saint-Germain had organized a race in Paris for children (Saturday, June 27) and adults (Sunday, June 28). But this 10km We Run Paris event has been canceled, even though it was expected to involve more than 12,000 runners. PSG announced this decision in an official statement on Thursday.

“Due to the unprecedented climate event currently affecting Paris and a large part of mainland France, Paris Saint-Germain deeply regrets to announce the cancellation of all We Run Paris 2026 races scheduled for Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28.”

It is a disappointment for all the participants who were expected, but a logical choice given the heatwave that has been in place for several days. It is expected to ease in the coming days, but not enough with sufficient certainty or intensity to ensure such a race can be held without obvious risks.
