Two headline members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid have secured for themselves places in the official Club World Cup Team of the Week.

The pair in question? Kylian Mbappé and Arda Güler.

Both frontman Mbappé and midfielder Güler of course played their parts on Saturday night, as Real Madrid booked their spot in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.

Xabi Alonso’s troops made the trip to New Jersey for their quarter-final tie, locking horns with German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund.

When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 3-2 result, following a chaotic late back-and-forth between the sides.

The aforementioned Mbappé notched a crucial goal deep into injury-time, whilst young teammate Güler laid on a pair of assists across a starring performance in the middle of the park.
