The Champions League has concluded with Paris Saint-Germain becoming the first team since Real Madrid to successfully defend their crown, having beaten Arsenal on penalties in the final.
A day after PSG’s triumph, UEFA has published its Team of the Season, with most players featuring from either PSG or Arsenal. There are no Real Madrid players on the list.

However, Real Madrid do have cause for celebration, with Arda Guler being named the UEFA Champions League Revelation of the Season by the UEFA.
The 21-year-old Turkish international has had a breakthrough campaign in Europe’s premier club competition, making 13 starts and 14 appearances overall, accumulating 1,030 minutes on the pitch.
That is a dramatic leap from the previous season, in which he started just one game and featured for only 142 minutes in total.
Guler ended the campaign with two Champions League goals, both coming in the quarter-final second leg against Bayern Munich, and added four assists.
His standout individual display came in Real Madrid’s league phase victory against Juventus in October, where he earned the Player of the Match award for the control and creativity he brought to midfield.

The award, introduced to replace the former Young Player of the Season accolade, recognises players who make significant progress over a given campaign rather than those already established as world-class talents.
Eligible candidates must be no older than 21 at the start of the season and can only win it once.
Guler’s triumph means Real Madrid have now won three of the last five editions of the award. Jude Bellingham claimed it in 2023-24, while Vinicius Jr took the honour in 2021-22.
PSG’s Desire Doue won it last season and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia claimed the 2022-23 edition with Napoli.
