Official: Real Madrid squad list to face Real Betis – defender returns, key midfielder out | OneFootball

Real Madrid are on their way to Seville as they take on Real Betis away at Estadio de La Cartuja later tonight in La Liga.

Ahead of the contest against Manuel Pellegrini’s men, Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa has announced the squad list of players available at his disposal for selection.

Raul Asencio, who missed the game against Alaves earlier this week due to illness, has recovered fully and is included in the squad. However, he is unlikely to start against Betis.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have been dealt a double injury blow, with both Eder Militao and Arda Guler getting ruled out for the season through injuries.

Aurelien Tchouameni has not been called up to the squad, with the reason for his being suggested as a muscle overload. Dani Ceballos is also not included in the squad.

As a result, Arbeloa has turned to the academy to cover for the absences, with young defender Diego Aguado getting called up, along with midfielders Jorge Cestero, Manuel Angel, and Thiago Pitarch.

Rodrygo Goes and Thibaut Courtois miss out through injuries. In the latter’s absence, Andriy Lunin will continue in goal, with youngsters Sergio Mestre and Javi Navarro acting as backup.
