Real Madrid will fly out to Austria for their pre-season friendly match against WSG Tirol set to take place tomorrow in Innsbruck.
Having played a training match against Leganes at Valdebebas last week, this game will be the last friendly for Xabi Alonso’s men before the start of the 2025/26 La Liga season.
Ahead of the trip, the new manager has announced the squad list of players that he will be taking to Austria, with a number of notable absences and some exciting call-ups.
As reported just a few minutes ago, Federico Valverde misses out due to a muscle overload. Thiago Pitarch, who has impressed in pre-season so far, gets called up in midfield.
Another 18-year-old midfield prospect, Roberto Martin, has also been named in the squad with Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham also missing out due to injuries.
Teenage defensive gem Diego Aguado gets called up by Alonso as well, along with all the three new signings Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, and Alvaro Carreras.
David Alaba, fit again after recovering from his injury, is included but Ferland Mendy remains unavailable.
In attack, newly-promoted first-team member Gonzalo Garcia is named in the squad along with the heavy-hitters Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr. and the exit-linked Rodrygo Goes.
Daniel Yanez is the fourth youth talent to be called up by Alonso, while Endrick remains unavailable.
