BSC Young Boys bolster their attack ahead of the transfer deadline by signing Samuel Essende. The 28-year-old Congolese centre-forward arrives from FC Augsburg and has signed a contract through 2029.

Essende, who scored 8 goals in 44 Bundesliga appearances since 2024, saw his playing time reduced following the arrival of Michael Gregoritsch. The Bern club spent around €4.5 million, including all bonuses, to complete the deal.
