Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed the capture of Sevilla centre-back Loïc Badé. The 25-year-old moves to the Bundesliga on a €25m transfer (with €4m in bonuses tacked on) and inks a new deal with Germany’s red company team valid until 20302. With the Badé signing, Leverkusen have wrapped up a previously reported on triple set of transactions.

The signing of Manchester City midfielder Claudio Echeverri was officially confirmed shortly before Badé’s introduction. Moroccan attacker Amine Adli’s move to Bournemouth is also officially done deal. Adli’s sale was confirmed before Leverkusen unveiled their two new arrivals. Plenty of more Leverkusen transactions are expected before the transfer window closes.

Adli issued a club statement thanking die Werkself for helping to shape his professional career. Echeverri declared himself overjoyed to be joining his new German club. Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes welcomed Badé as an ideal addition to the B04 central defensive corps.

“He’s used to playing against world-class strikers in La Liga in Spain,” Rolfes said of Badé. “Loïc is physically uncompromising and intelligent, an absolute reinforcement for our defense. With this defensive line-up, we are prepared to compete at the highest level.”
