With just weeks to go before the kick-off of the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, preparations are reaching fever pitch ahead of a tournament that will bring together 24 of the continent’s top teams.

Against this backdrop, the Ugandan national team, led by Belgian coach Paul Put, has unveiled an extended 30-man squad blending experience, talent, and ambition, with the clear objective of making a historic impact.

The “Cranes” will be making their eighth appearance at the AFCON finals, following seven previous participations, the last of which was in 2019.

Uganda will kick off their campaign on December 23 against Tunisia at the Rabat Olympic Stadium, before facing Tanzania on December 27 at the Al Barid Stadium. Lukwago and his teammates will round off their group stage on December 30 against Nigeria at the Fez Sports Complex.
