OGC Nice have struggled with injury problems so far this season, just as they did during the previous campaign. However, there now looks to be some let-up in those issues.
Moise Bombito and Mohamed-Ali Cho have looked on the verge of a return and could play a role against AS Roma on Wednesday night in their UEFA Europa League opener. There is also good news regarding Dante, who missed the 4-1 defeat to Stade Brestois with a minor knee injury. The Brazilian was alongside Franck Haise in today’s pre-match press conference, and the Nice manager confirmed that his club captain had been in training this week.
The likes of Tanguy Ndombélé and Ali Abdi also haven’t been training with the first team, with the former hardly playing in 2025 due to a pubalgia issue, on which he has recently been operated. However, Haise provided a positive update on the fitness of his squad, ahead of the game against Roma.
“We can talk about a lot of returnees,” began Haise. “Apart from the long-term injuries (Mohamed Abdelmonem and Youssouf Ndayishimiye, both of whom have suffered ACLs), everyone has trained, for the first time this season. Everyone isn’t at 100%, but everyone can train.”
