OGC Nice are considering a January move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies (32), according to a report from L’Équipe.
Nice are in the market for defensive reinforcements this January, due to the absences in this sector of the pitch. Dante has barely played due to his knee issues, whilst Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Mohamed Abdelmonem have yet to recover from the ACL injuries that they sustained at the end of last season. With Moise Bombito also out until around February/ March due to a leg break, there is a need for signings.
Sergio Ramos has been linked with a move to Nice. L’Équipe now understands that Davies has been considered in recent weeks. The Wales international, whose contract is up at the end of the season, has played just 55 minutes of football this season under Thomas Frank.
However, a deal to sign the Tottenham defender would not be easy to pull off, firstly because of his salary, and secondly because he is looking for a long-term deal, ideally.
