Romain Esse and Marc Guehi in line to feature against south London rivals
Romain Esse is expected to face former club Millwall in the FA Cup on Saturday, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed.
Palace host Millwall at Selhurst Park in the sixth round of the competition at Sunday lunchtime — the first meeting between the sides since the Eagles won 2-1 at the Den in the FA Cup third round in January 2022.
Esse is in line for minutes against the club he left last month to complete his £14.5million move to Palace.
The teenager, 19, scored five goals for Millwall this season.
The England Under-20 international scored within seconds of making his Palace debut off the bench in the 2-1 Premier League defeat to Brentford on January 26.
His only appearance since then was a 28-minute cameo in the previous round of the FA Cup, when Palace won 2-0 at Doncaster Rovers.
“Every player wants to play,” Glasner said. “Of course, I know it’s maybe a special game for Romain.
“I never promise any player that he’ll play many minutes or less minutes. But, of course, I definitely have in my mind that he will get some minutes.”
Centre-back Marc Guehi had a knee problem during Tuesday’s 4-1 league win over Aston Villa but has fully recovered.

“No,” Glasner replied, asked whether his side had suffered any fresh injury issues. “All players are fit and available again.”
Asked specifically of Guehi, the Austrian said: “Yes, he’s okay. Everything is good. It helps that we had one more day between these two games.
“The only change in the squad is that Matheus Franca will be in the squad. Caleb Kporha won’t be. All others are ready.
“I’m expecting a great game. A sold-out Selhurst Park and lovely weather is predicted. I think that’s why we all love football. It’s the FA Cup, Saturday, High Noon, so everything that we want.
“I don’t talk about winning the FA Cup when we are in the round of 16. It makes no sense talking about winning a trophy [yet].
“I told the players today in our meeting: I don’t care which team we are facing. We want to win the game, and we want to win it in our way. We can beat any team.”
