OL are on an eight-match winning streak across Ligue 1, the Europa League and the Coupe de France, opening up possibilities on all fronts.
According to Le Progres, the run began on 11 December 2025 with a 2-1 win over Go Ahead Eagles in Europe, and comprises four league victories, two in the Coupe de France and two in the Europa League.
Four days earlier, Lyon had slipped 1-0 at Lorient in Ligue 1, and Ainsley Maitland-Niles was sent off, their fifth red card in 15 matches.
The Go Ahead Eagles tie started at full tilt. Moreira opened the scoring, an equaliser followed, then Sulc restored the lead, all inside 11 minutes.
The second half dragged, but Paulo Fonseca’s side, who had been leading the Europa League since the previous matchday, secured at least a play-off berth that night. The sequence has opened up their prospects in all three competitions, and Fonseca’s men continue with ambition.
