A member of the loan army at La Liga giants Barcelona could be afforded a place in the club’s first-team setup for next season.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Áron Yaakobishvili as the player in question.

Youngster Yaakobishvili for his part departed Catalunya’s capital last summer.

After another starring season between the posts at youth level with Barcelona, the Hungarian was farmed out to Segunda outfit FC Andorra, in search of consistent senior playing time.

And ‘Yaako’ has since gone on to find precisely that…

Still just 19 years of age, the talented shot-stopper has established himself as first-choice at Andorra, racking up 17 starts across the term to date.

And his performances along the way have evidently not gone unnoticed back in Catalunya’s capital…

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Deco, Hansi Flick and co. are keeping a close eye on Yaakobishvili’s development.

Amid the ungoing uncertainty surrounding the futures of all of Marc-André ter Stegen, Wojciech Szczęsny and Iñaki Peña, Barca’s talented up-and-coming goalkeeper could yet carve out a spot for himself in the senior setup back at the Spotify Camp Nou for 2026/27.
