Estevao believes confidence has helped him adapt quickly to life in England following his arrival from Brazil in the summer.
Chelsea agreed a deal with Palmerias worth up to £51.4m back in 2024, but the talented teenager didn’t link up with the Blues until after the Club World Cup.
Estevao has hit the ground the running at Stamford Bridge and has four goals in all competitions, including two in the Champions League.
The 18-year-old is regarded as the best player to emerge from Brazil since Neymar, and he’s certainly lived up to that billing on early evidence.
Estevao hailed Maresca as an “incredible” person, and the Italian has been managing the youngster’s minutes carefully since his arrival.

Despite calls for the Brazil international to start more games, Maresca has stuck to his guns and revealed he doesn’t find it hard to tell Estevao he’s not playing.
Most Chelsea fans wouldn’t have expected Estevao to adapt so quickly and make the impact he has, and he revealed confidence has helped him a lot.
“I think confidence is one of the most important things that helped me adapt quickly to the style of play here,” he told Sky Sports Premier League.
“Because it’s completely different to the football in Brazil, more aggressive, faster and more intense. So, for anyone coming over here, it’s complicated.”
Estevao isn’t the only wide playing making an impact, with summer signing Alejandro Garnacho starting to find his feet.
