Oliver Glasner has said he is excited to lead one of the most passionate fan bases in football after being appointed as Nottingham Forest's new head coach.

Glasner has been confirmed as Forest's new head coach on Monday, replacing Vitor Pereira at the City Ground.

The Austrian arrives after making the decision to leaveCrystal Palace at the expiration of his contract this summer.

The 51-year-old led Palace during the most successful period in the club's history, winning the Eagles' first-ever major trophy withFA Cup success in 2025. Glasner followed that triumph with Community Shield and Europa Conference League trophies in 2025/26.

He inherits a Nottingham Forest side that has overseen much managerial change in recent months, but said he's excited about working with the squad and the ambition of the project.
