With seven days until AFCON 2025, a spotlight on the tournament's stadiums

With just one week to go before the kick-off of AFCON 2025, Africa’s premier football competition makes its grand return to Morocco, in what is set to be one of the largest editions in the tournament’s history—both in terms of the number of matches and the stadiums hosting them.
The AFCON 2025 finals will run from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026. Matches will be played in nine modern stadiums spread across six Moroccan cities, showcasing the Kingdom's ability to stage sporting events of continental scale.
According to the official schedule, the opening ceremony is set for December 21 at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex, which will also host the final on January 18, 2026.
This edition carries special significance for African national teams. It will serve as a crucial step in their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
