The battle for places in the Round of 32 reaches its conclusion in Groups J, K and L today. Argentina and Colombia have already secured qualification, while England are in a strong position to join them. Elsewhere, Croatia, Ghana, Portugal, DR Congo, Austria and Algeria all have plenty to play for as the knockout picture cements itself.

What games are on today?

Croatia v Ghana

Everything is still on the line in Group L.

Croatia revived their campaign with a crucial 1-0 victory over Panama after opening the tournament with a 4-2 defeat to England. Ghana, meanwhile, followed their opening win over Panama with an impressive goalless draw against England and currently sit second in the group. A victory for either side would guarantee qualification.

Croatia's experience in high-pressure situations may prove decisive, but Ghana have been one of the most organised teams in the group.

Our prediction: Croatia 2-1 Ghana

Panama v England

England know the job is not quite finished.

Thomas Tuchel's side began with an entertaining 4-2 victory over Croatia before being frustrated by Ghana in a goalless draw. That leaves the Three Lions top of Group L and in control of their own destiny heading into the final round of fixtures. Panama have already been eliminated after successive 1-0 defeats to Ghana and Croatia and are still searching for their first goal of the tournament.

England should dominate possession and create plenty of chances against a Panama side with little left to play for.

Our prediction: Panama 0-3 England

Congo DR v Uzbekistan

A fascinating battle between two sides with contrasting fortunes.

Congo remain in contention for qualification despite losing narrowly to Colombia after opening with a draw against Portugal. Uzbekistan, making their World Cup debut, are already going home after they were thrashed 5-0 by Portugal and lost to Colombia in their opener.

DR Congo have looked more competitive throughout the tournament and should have enough quality to edge the contest.

Our prediction: Congo DR 2-0 Uzbekistan

Colombia v Portugal

One of the standout matches of the final group stage.

Colombia have already booked their place in the knockout rounds after victories over Uzbekistan and Congo. Portugal sit just behind them after drawing with Congo before responding with a dominant 5-0 win over Uzbekistan. The winner will claim top spot in Group K and potentially secure a more favourable path through the knockout rounds.

Both teams have impressed, but Portugal's attacking firepower could make the difference in a high-quality encounter.

Our prediction: Colombia 1-2 Portugal

Jordan v Argentina

Argentina have already done enough to qualify but will be keen to maintain momentum.

The defending champions have won both of their matches, defeating Algeria and Austria to secure first place in Group J. Jordan's World Cup debut has been a learning experience, with defeats to Austria and Algeria ending their hopes of progression.

Argentina may rotate some players, but their depth and quality should still prove too much.

Our prediction: Jordan 0-2 Argentina

Algeria v Austria

A match loaded with World Cup history.

When these sides meet in Kansas City, memories of the infamous 1982 "Disgrace of Gijón" will inevitably resurface. This time, however, both teams know victory would be enough to secure second place behind Argentina. Austria opened with a win over Jordan before losing to Argentina, while Algeria bounced back from defeat to Argentina by overcoming Jordan 2-1.

It could be a tense and cautious contest, but Algeria's momentum may give them the edge.

Our prediction: Algeria 1-0 Austria

Which player should I look out for?

At 41, Ronaldo continues to defy expectations.

The Portugal captain produced one of the performances of the tournament so far with two goals in the 5-0 victory over Uzbekistan, helping Portugal move to the brink of qualification. His movement, finishing and leadership remain crucial for a Portuguese side that believes it can challenge for the trophy.

If Portugal are to finish top of Group K, expect Ronaldo to be at the heart of the action once again.

Can you give me one stat to impress my friends?

Algeria's final group match against Austria comes 44 years after the infamous 1982 World Cup clash that became known as the "Disgrace of Gijón" — the controversy that led Germany to beat Austria 1-0 knowing that the result would see both nations go through and eliminate Algeria. FIFA introduced simultaneous kick-offs for final group-stage matches as a result.
