Jeremy Jacquet only wants to join Chelsea and personal terms are agreed, with developments expected after the West Ham game according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

The Blues were expected to be quiet in January, but their plans changed and they are looking to bring a centre back in before the window closes on Monday.

Chelsea have recalled Aaron Anselmino from his loan at Borussia Dortmund, but have identified Jacquet as their prime target.

Jeremy Jacquet only wants to join Chelsea

The Blues are yet to make an offer for Jacquet, but Rennes reportedly want £60m for the 20-year-old, who’s one of their best players.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich are said to also hold interest in Jacquet, and Solhekol has provided an update on the situation.

He took to X.com and said:

“Jeremy Jacquet only wants to sign for Chelsea.

“Personal terms have been fully agreed.

“Both Chelsea and Rennes are playing on Saturday evening. Expect developments after the games.”

Jacquet is under contract with Rennes until 2029, and has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season, with the France under-21 international regarded as one of the top centre back prospects in Europe.

Axel Disasi attracting interest from a number of clubs

Whilst Chelsea are trying to sign Jacquet, the Blues are also looking to move on another centre back in Axel Disasi.

Disasi is reportedly close to joining West Ham on loan, but Chelsea are believed to want a permanent exit before the end of the window.

Roma and Lyon have also shown interest, but as of yet no offers have come in for the Frenchman, who hasn’t played for Chelsea for over a year.

Disasi was seen in training before the game against Pafos earlier this month, but the chances of him being reintegrated appear slim.
