Ousmane Dembélé was crowned the 2025 Ballon d'Or winner ahead of Lamine Yamal, becoming the second French winner in four years.

The France international earned the award after inspiring Paris Saint-Germain to long-awaited Champions League glory and reaching the FIFA Club World Cup final.

Meanwhile, Spain and Barcelona's Aitana Bonmatí has been named the latest winner of the Ballon d'Or Féminin for a third year running.


Earlier in the evening, Gianluigi Donnarumma was crowned the Yashin Trophy winner for best goalkeeper while Hannah Hampton claimed the women's award.


Lamine Yamal retained the men's Kopa Trophy for the best under-21 player, extending Barcelona's success in the award category to a fourth wins in five years.


The Catalans also claimed the first-ever Women's Kopa Trophy which went to Vicky López following her club exploits and role in Spain's run to the EURO 2025 final.


Arsenal new boy Viktor Gyökeres  and Barcelona's Ewa Pajor were named the Gerd Müller Trophy winner for the best striker while the Xana Foundation set up by Luis Enrique in his late daughter's name was awarded the Sócrates Award.


Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique was named the winner of the Johan Cruyff Trophy for best coach while England's Sarina Wiegman won the women's edition.


European champions dominated the Club of the Year category with PSG winning the men's award while Arsenal were named the women's equivalent.
