Ousmane Dembélé
Another accolade for Ousmane Dembélé. The PSG forward has claimed the 2025 Onze d'Or.
With 35 goals and 16 assists in 53 appearances across all competitions last season, Ousmane Dembélé delivered the most outstanding campaign of his career. The former Barça player achieved an unprecedented quintuple in French football: Trophée des Champions, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Champions League, and UEFA Super Cup.
He became a nightmare for opposing defenses, making decisive contributions in the final, both semi-finals, both quarter-finals, the second leg of the round of 16, and the first leg of the Champions League play-off. Unsurprisingly, the Frenchman has been named the winner of the Onze d'Or. But the competition was fierce.
Dembélé topped the voting with 32.5% of the ballots, just edging out Lamine Yamal (30%). The Barça sensation had to concede to the European champion, but his time will come—it's only a matter of time.
For the record, the Onze d'Or is an award presented to the best player in Europe by the French magazine Onze from 1976 to 1988, and by the magazine Onze Mondial since 1989, following the merger of the magazines Onze and Mondial.
