After a frustratingly quiet window on both the incoming and outgoing front for Manchester United this month, there may be a few deals in the pipeline that could be completed before next Monday’s deadline.

As fans are more than aware at this stage, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford face hugely uncertain futures heading into the last few days, with both heavily linked with moves away since the window opened.

The issue, however, is that a replacement would undoubtedly be necessary if the duo depart, as Ruben Amorim would be left with too few options in attack for the remainder of the campaign.

Talks remain ongoing with Lecce for Patrick Dorgu, whose potential arrival would then pave the way for Tyrell Malacia to be sent on loan after failing to retain a starting place since his return to action.

Roma old concrete interest in late Casemiro swoop

Today, reports began circulating detailing Roma’s desire to hash out a deal for Casemiro. Chris Wheeler claims the Serie A outfit have indeed expressed interest in the player, and there is now an ‘outside chance’ he is sold.

It’d come as no surprise to anyone if United actively advocated for Casemiro’s exit, primarily because it’s evident he plays no part in the boss’ plans. The seasoned veteran has featured only six times since Amorim took the reins in November, making just four starts while being an unused substitute 11 times. His last outing came all the way back on December 30 in a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United.

The Reds forked out a ludicrous £70 million to acquire the five-time Champions League winner from Real Madrid in 2022, after which he put pen to paper on a four-year deal  – plus the option of an additional season – worth £350,000 per week. When David de Gea was released at the end of 2022/2023, he became United’s highest earner.
