Left-back Jefté, recovering from surgery on his right knee, stayed inside the training complex for supervised physiotherapy exercises. Forward Vitor Roque, also rehabbing after surgery on his left ankle, followed a programme with the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance indoors and on the pitch.

Abel Ferreira, Marlon Freitas and Giay did not take part. There were further absences due to World Cup duty, with Gustavo Gómez, Maurício, Ramón Sosa, Piquerez, Emiliano Martínez, Flaco López and Jhon Arias away.

The session was split into three blocks, beginning with physical work at the Centro de Excelência. Players then drilled passing, movement and finishing before a small-sided game, with wide support players positioned on the flanks.

Palmeiras’ next official match is on 23 July against Coritiba, in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
