Palmeiras line-up: Abel Ferreira missing three players for clash with Vasco

Palmeiras trained on the morning of Wednesday (11), at the Football Academy, and finished preparations for the match against Vasco da Gama. The game will take place this Thursday (12), at 7:30 p.m., at São Januário, for the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Paulinho progressing in recovery

In the process of recovery, forward Paulinho took to the field and worked separately with players from the youth support group. The number 10 continues his physical reconditioning after surgery on his right leg and has shown positive progress in his treatment.

According to the club's medical coordinator, Pedro Pontin, the player has been in the reconditioning phase for about two weeks and still has important steps to complete before returning to matches.

Paulinho went through the healing process after the surgery and is now in the physical recovery phase. There are still important steps within the transition, always with load control and progression according to clinical evolution. It is a longer process due to the complexity of the injury, but the recovery has been very good.

The player himself highlighted his progress after a difficult period in 2025.

I'm feeling very well. I went through a very tough process last year, especially in the first months after the surgery. Now we're at a more advanced stage, already working on the field and gradually increasing the intensity.

Even off the pitch, Paulinho emphasized that he tries to help the squad from the sidelines and reinforced the positive atmosphere within the group.

We've managed to build a group with a lot of friendship and harmony. This helps us both on and off the field. Even though I'm not playing right now, I try to support and send positive energy to the team.

On the other hand, three players missed the field activities. Forward Vitor Roque began treatment after suffering trauma to his left ankle during the semifinal of the Campeonato Paulista. Attacking midfielder Mauricio also remained inside the excellence center due to an injury to his left foot.

Meanwhile, defender Murilo suffered a sprain in his left knee and was diagnosed with a medial collateral ligament injury. The defender will continue with conservative treatment under the care of the club's Health and Performance Center.
