Carlos Miguel endured a night to forget as Palmeiras lost to Atlético-MG, with Globo.com rating the goalkeeper the worst performer in the Brasileiro’s 20th round.

Palmeiras controlled long spells before a costly mistake gifted Atlético-MG the opener. Felipe Anderson equalised, then Atlético-MG regained the lead when Carlos Miguel charged out and was punished.

Lucas Evangelista later had a clear chance to level again but could not convert with the goal open.

Giay struggled on the right with simple passing errors. Gustavo Gómez was steady, while Murilo helped build play on the same flank.

Piquerez impressed before the break, then faded against counter-attacks and was substituted. Arthur added fresh legs without major impact. Emiliano Martínez operated as a third centre-back effectively until attacking changes were made.

Marlon Freitas orchestrated much of Palmeiras’ best football, with Andreas Pereira also influential before tiring. Maurício stood out in the first half but tailed off and was replaced.

Arias was lively on the left and worked hard off the ball but finishing let him down. Vitor Roque’s return was quiet. Paulinho’s first start in over a year showed promise yet lacked a box presence alongside him, and Heittor could not impose himself.

Head coach Abel Ferreira saw his side lose their shape after the first error, turning a controlled display into a disorganised finish. A poor result.
