Palmeiras progress sale of Facundo Torres to Austin FC | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Palmeiras have moved towards selling Facundo Torres to Austin FC and are expected to receive about US$ 9.5 million, R$ 51 million.

The club do not regard the deal as complete, as they are waiting on contract details from the American side. They believe the move could suit both player and club.

Torres was signed last year from Orlando City for about R$ 70 million. He featured regularly but did not fully convince, making 61 appearances with 10 goals and four assists.

He has yet to play in 2026 because of a left thigh injury suffered during pre-season.

After the season, Abel Ferreira said he did not wish to negotiate his departure, as with Sosa, another forward who arrived in 2025. Palmeiras, however, see an opportunity to bring in cash and lighten the wage bill.
