Palmeiras have been reported to the Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva, STJD, after a supporter dressed as Hulk invaded the pitch during the 1-1 draw with Santos in the Campeonato Brasileiro on Saturday.
The club has been cited under article 213 of the Código Brasileiro de Justiça Desportiva, which allows the tribunal to strip home advantage if it deems the case serious, with fines of up to R$ 100,000. According to UOL, the STJD prosecution considered the incident to have affected the match, involving medical attention, an ambulance entering the field and a stoppage.
Palmeiras identified the fan and filed a police report. Hudson Luiz Soares Peixoto required ambulance treatment for a suspected fracture to his right leg, sustained as he attempted to enter the pitch.
His access to Palmeiras’ stadium has been blocked, and he cannot buy tickets for first-team matches for an indefinite period.
The incident occurred during the stadium’s final game under the name "Allianz Parque". Nubank, the new naming-rights holder, has announced "Nubank Parque" as a restart for the venue, with the new visual identity to be ready only after the World Cup.
