Palmeiras outlined their plan for the World Cup hiatus after beating bottom club Chapecoense 1-0, a win sealed by Paulinho.

According to Nosso Palestra, the squad will reconvene at the Academia de Futebol on the night of 21 June. Vitor Roque will follow a separate recovery programme after surgery on his left ankle, while team-mates complete remote work planned by the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance to maintain fitness and ease a gradual return.

Abel Ferreira's side close the first half of the league on 41 points from 18 matches, with Flamengo on 34 and a game in hand. Palmeiras are therefore guaranteed to lead at the turn.

Brazilian football now pauses until 22 July for the 2026 World Cup, staged from 11 June to 19 July in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Palmeiras' first fixture after the break is Coritiba in the 19th round, which completes the first round, with a base date of 22 or 23 July.

In the second half of the year, the club also have Libertadores and Copa do Brasil commitments.
