Palmeiras start full relaying of training pitch during World Cup break | OneFootball

Palmeiras have moved to upgrade facilities at the Academia de Futebol, taking advantage of the World Cup pause between June and July. Work includes a full relaying of the natural-grass surface on one training pitch.

According to Nosso Palestra, the relaying began a few weeks ago and involves a complete replacement of the grass on one of the pitches at the training centre.

The club opted for a full change rather than routine seasonal reseeding, timing the work for a match-free window.

At the end of 2025, Palmeiras had already replaced the synthetic pitch at the Academia de Futebol with a similar surface from the same supplier used at Arena Crefisa Barueri.

During that spell, the squad trained at Allianz Parque while preparing for home fixtures.
