Palmeiras to play two training matches on Thursday as Vitor Roque steps up | OneFootball

Palmeiras continued preparations on Wednesday with a double session at the Academia de Futebol. According to Nosso Palestra, Vitor Roque completed the full tactical work under Abel Ferreira and staff, signalling progress in his physical transition.

In the morning, coaches split the squad into two 11s for tactical game simulations and strategic tweaks in defence and attack. The workout lasted a little over an hour with personnel changes throughout.

Players remained on site for lunch and recovery before the second block, scheduled for 15h.

Preparation continues on Thursday, when the Verdão will play two training matches. União São João provide the opposition at 10h, then Inter de Limeira at 15h.

During the break, Palmeiras have already played four tests, beating Mauaense 6-0, Primavera 3-1, winning an internal run-out 3-0 for the white team, and overcoming Juventus 3-1.

The Paulista champions return to competitive action on Wednesday 22, away to Coritiba at 19h30 Brasília time at Couto Pereira in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. They lead the league and are also through to the CONMEBOL Libertadores last 16 against Cerro Porteño and the Copa do Brasil last 16 against Fortaleza.
