Palmeiras train during Data Fifa, maintain Brasileiro focus | OneFootball

Palmeiras held a further morning session at the Academia de Futebol on Thursday, keeping preparations ticking during the Data Fifa pause. According to Nosso Palestra, the workout formed part of a continued training block.

They face Grêmio on Thursday the second at 21:30 at Arena Crefisa Barueri in the ninth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Players were split into three teams for passing and possession work in a reduced area, then moved into small-sided games with academy players involved.

Forward Vitor Roque followed an individual programme inside the club’s excellence centre.

Palmeiras top the Brasileiro with 19 points from eight matches and boast a perfect home record, four wins in four, matched by Fluminense.

In league play they are unbeaten in 18 home fixtures since July last year, with 14 wins and four draws.

Across all competitions the club are 25 home games without defeat, with 20 wins and five draws, their strongest run since July 2022 to June 2023, when they went 33 unbeaten.
