Palmeiras returned to training on Friday after two days off with fitness updates across the squad. According to Globo.com, Arthur has been diagnosed with a right thigh oedema, Piquerez has stepped up his recovery and Paulinho worked on the pitch.
Arthur, a starter in the last match, remained indoors at the Centro de Excelência. If he is not fit to face Remo on Sunday at 16:00 in Pará in the Brasileirão, the left-back slot should go to Jefté.
Piquerez, still recovering from surgery on his right ankle, progressed to grass-based work. Paulinho, who had trained inside before the last game, returned to the pitch.
Forward Vitor Roque, who had surgery on his left ankle, continued treatment indoors.
In the first phase, the squad split between simultaneous drills on build-up play, playing out from the back and marking in a reduced space. They later came together for a small-sided game.
Palmeiras now prepare to visit Remo as they try to open or maintain their lead at the top of the Brasileiro, where they sit on 33 points.
