Palmeiras under-17 beat Vasco to reach Brasileiro semi-finals

The Under-17 team of Palmeiras defeated Vasco 3-1 this Tuesday (30th) at the Crefisa Barueri Arena, in a single quarterfinal match of the Brazilian Championship for the category. The goals for the Academy's Creations were scored by Vinicius, Juan Gabriel, and Eduardo.

Verdão's opponent in the semifinal will be determined from the match between Red Bull Bragantino and Grêmio, which takes place at 7 PM this Tuesday. As they have the best campaign in the tournament, Palestra will play as the home team in the single match.

The alviverde team has already played 20 matches in the tournament, with 16 wins, one draw, and three losses, totaling 58 goals scored and 20 conceded – the team's top scorer in the competition is Juan Gabriel, with ten goals. Palmeiras won all 11 matches they played as the home team in the championship.

Verdão is seeking its third Under-17 Brazilian Championship title. In 2022, the Academy's Creations defeated Grêmio 2-1 to take the trophy. The following year, the alviverde team overcame São Paulo 3-0 and became two-time champions.

Alongside the Brazilian Championship, the Under-17 team of Palmeiras is competing in the Paulista Championship for the category. After leading their group in the third phase, the team will face Brasilis in the quarterfinals – the first match takes place this Saturday (04).
