Palmer Gets 8, Fernandez With 7.5 | Chelsea Players Rated In Hard-Fought Win Vs Tottenham Hotspur

Chelsea entertained Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they looked to earn all three points at home in the London derby. The Blues made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Enzo Fernandez finally broke the deadlock in the 50th minute when he scored with a solid header from close range. Enzo Maresca’s players defended their advantage well and earned a hard-fought 1-0 win in the Premier League.
GK: Robert Sanchez – 7/10
Sanchez made a couple of solid saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet at Stamford Bridge.
RB: Malo Gusto – 7.5/10
He gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch and made two decent chances going forward.
CB: Trevoh Chalobah – 7/10
Chalobah cleared the danger when he could and was good on the ball.
CB: Levi Colwill – 6.5/10
He put his foot through the ball when required and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.

LB: Marc Cucurella – 7/10
He performed his defensive duties well but offered very little in the opponent’s half.
CM: Moises Caicedo – 7.5/10
Caicedo got stuck in with some crunching tackles and made one good run with the ball.
CM: Enzo Fernandez – 7.5/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and scored the only goal of the game with a solid header in the 50th minute.
RW: Pedro Neto – 6.5/10
Neto made two key chances for his teammates up top but failed to register a goal.
CAM: Cole Palmer – 8/10
Palmer caused a lot of headaches for the Tottenham defenders and picked up an assist for setting up Fernandez’s goal.
LW: Jadon Sancho – 6.5/10
He caught the eye at times but never looked like he would score.
ST: Nicolas Jackson – 6/10
Jackson was quiet for most of his time on the field and was replaced in the 81st minute.
