Flamengo announced the signing of Lucas Paquetá on Friday, sparking celebrations at Ninho do Urubu. According to Coluna Do Fla, the midfielder handed out shirts, signed autographs and posed for photos with supporters.

Images showed Paquetá wearing a fan-version shirt and surrounded by children. He distributed a different shirt to fans bearing a thank-you message that read 'Obrigado Nação'.

The academy product arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday to complete a return after seven years in Europe. Flamengo will pay 42 million euros, R$ 260 million, to West Ham for the player.

Medical tests have been approved and the contract is signed. For him to play, Flamengo must register the deal with the CBF, and once it appears in the BID he can take the field.

The first chance to see him with Flamengo is Sunday against Corinthians in the Supercopa Rei at Mané Garrincha in Brasília, kick-off 16:00 Brasília time.
