Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes once again reiterated his desire to return to Argentina.

Having been frequently linked with Boca Juniors, Paredes is now reportedly close to leaving the Italian capital.

While speaking to Los Edul, Paredes commented, “Rome is a city that we love very much, we have always said that we could live there even once my career is over.”

“The release clause for Boca? It’s there,” he said.

“I always say: the desire to return to Boca is always there, sometimes it is higher, but beyond what one wants it does not only depend on oneself. So I live my life and my career day by day, and we will see what happens.”

“Boca? I think there is no doubt, it is my wish, that of my family and my friends, who want to come back to see me play every Sunday. So, God willing, I hope so.”

“Dybala? As he himself said, as a kid he supported Boca Juniors and he has the desire to play in the Argentine championship one day. That’s why I always tell him: ‘If I ever play in Argentina again, you’ll come with me’.”
