Lille edged Paris FC 1-0, Matias Fernandez-Pardo proving decisive while Pierre Lees-Melou was dismissed late as the hosts’ midfield laboured.
According to L'Équipe, Ciro Immobile shot over in the sixth minute from a Marshall Munetsi cross, then Ngal'ayel Mukau miscontrolled a Thomas Meunier pass in the 24th. Soon after, Romain Perraud outpaced Munetsi and won a penalty that Fernandez-Pardo converted in the 26th minute.
Munetsi went off for Gory at half-time, the 46th minute. Perraud almost supplied André with a fine cross in the 54th minute. Fernandez-Pardo rattled the bar with a left-foot strike in the 67th and was replaced by Giroud in the 83rd.
Immobile made way for Koleosho in the 69th minute, before Mukau’s handball in the 72nd could have cost Lille two points. Lees-Melou was sent off for dissent in the 86th, and Adama Camara departed for H. Traoré in the 90th.
Fernandez-Pardo was rated 7, with Perraud given 6 after earning the spot-kick on a rare first-half surge. The former Real Betis player was less assured defensively.
Camara impressed at right-back with a 6, continuing to justify Antoine Kombouaré’s call to use him there after rising from amateur football three years ago. Lees-Melou struggled in midfield and received 3, as did Immobile and Mukau, while Munetsi was marked 4.
