Paris mayor Emmanuel Grégoire says a deal for the sale of the Parc des Princes to PSG could be agreed by autumn.

According to L'Équipe, the newly elected socialist gave the update at a Thursday press conference, saying his stance has moved closer to PSG, who want to buy the ground in order to expand it.

He said the Paris council will table an executive motion next week on PSG and the Parc des Princes to give him a negotiating mandate. He added he has already spoken with PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi.

Grégoire noted discussions with the mayor of the 16th arrondissement and the mayor of Boulogne, stressing a wish to align PSG’s ambitions with the city’s sporting objectives. He attended PSG’s 3-1 win over Toulouse.

He declined to discuss a price. On Tuesday, club executives met officials in Poissy and Massy, cities being considered for a potential new stadium if talks with Paris City Hall fall through.
