Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique believes that Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio is not being utilised to his full potential under Carlo Ancelotti.
In fact, according to a recent report from Real Madrid Confidencial, the PSG boss sees Asencio as a talent going to waste due to his limited playing time at the Spanish club.
It must be noted that Real Madrid are actively looking to strengthen their squad. The club has faced several challenges this season, and one of their priorities is to bring in reinforcements to address their issues.
Defence, in particular, has been a major concern, especially with the potential departure of one of their key players.
Despite these issues, Asencio has emerged as one of the biggest revelations of the season. His performances have been outstanding, catching the attention of several top European clubs, including PSG.
Enrique is said to be highly impressed with the young centre-back and believes that he could be a great addition to his squad.

Interestingly, Asencio’s lack of playing time under Ancelotti has raised concerns, and PSG are looking to capitalise on the situation.
With his release clause set at €50 million, the French club is prepared to make a serious offer. They see a great opportunity to sign the 22-year-old and are willing to put forward a bid of around €45 million.
Given his contract runs until 2026, Real Madrid still hold control over his future, but they now face a dilemma.
While Los Blancos intend to renew Asencio’s contract and offer him an improved salary, the player’s lack of minutes remains a significant issue.
If his situation does not improve, a move away could become a real possibility.
For now, the ball is in Real Madrid’s court. They must decide whether to integrate Asencio more into the squad or risk losing one of their most promising talents to a European rival.
