Parma have joined the race for Mihailo Ivanovic
According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, the Italian club see the Serbian forward as the ideal solution to their attacking needs, with the 20 year old emerging as a prime target to replace Inter Milan bound Ange-Yoan Bonny.
However, Parma face stiff competition from Premier League heavyweights Everton and Wolves, both of whom have registered strong interest in the highly-rated striker.
Ivanovic's remarkable debut campaign at The Den has sparked a transfer scramble across Europe.
The young striker, who arrived from Serbian side Vojvodina in a then-club-record £2.8 million deal last summer, netted 13 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions.
His form particularly impressed after Alex Neil's December appointment as manager, with the Serbian establishing himself as a key figure in Millwall's attacking setup.
Indeed, all but two of Ivanovic's 12 second-tier goals came following the term of the year, with his firepower proving a driving force behind the Lions' late push for a play-off finish. They ultimately had to settle for an eighth place finish, and will be conscious of the opportunity Ivanovic could have to play top-flight football elsewhere next term.
That consistency has not gone unnoticed, with Parma now joining an increasingly crowded field of suitors for his signature.
Serie A giants Lazio have also reportedly been interested in the young forward.
David Moyes has identified Ivanovic as a potential solution to Everton's attacking rebuild following Dominic Calvert-Lewin's free transfer departure and the end of Armando Broja's loan spell.
With Everton close to securing Villarreal's Thierno Barry, Ivanovic represents a potentially more affordable option that could provide valuable squad depth.
Football Insider suggest Millwall will demand "big, big money" for their prized asset, who remains under a long-term contract at The Den.
His contract length will give Millwall a strong position in negotiations as they are under no direct pressure to sell and can therefore demand a hard bargain for his services, of which they will surely make a significant profit on whenever he earns a move to another club.
Ivanovic's departure would leave a significant void for the Lions, where he finished as the club's leading scorer with 12 Championship goals.
His importance to Neil's side was highlighted by the fact that Millwall's joint second-highest scorers, Josh Coburn and Duncan Watmore, managed just five goals each.
As the transfer window progresses, Neil faces an increasingly difficult task keeping hold of his star striker amid mounting European interest.
