Every year, the African continent celebrates its greatest talents during the prestigious CAF Awards ceremony, established in 2000 to honor the players, coaches, and teams who have made their mark on the season.
In this context, Belgian Uganda head coach Paul Put has revealed his personal choices for the 2025 African awards.
The tactician named Morocco as the best national team, and awarded the title of best young player to Asharaf Loukman Tapsoba from Burkina Faso.
For him, Walid Regragui, manager of the Atlas Lions, fully deserves the title of African coach of the year.
Paul Put also picked Ismail Belkacemi (Algeria) as the best player playing on the continent, while Ronwen Williams (South Africa) is, in his view, the top goalkeeper. Finally, he crowned Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal) as African player of the year for 2025.So far, CAF has yet to announce the official date and location of the ceremony, but it is expected to take place in the coming weeks in Marrakech (Morocco).
