Pauleta to leave Sporting futsal as Benfica weigh January 2027 move | OneFootball

Pauleta is leaving Sporting's futsal team and could join Benfica, according to Glorioso 1904. The 32-year-old winger features in Benfica's medium-term plans as they map out squad options.

Benfica are monitoring the Portugal international closely, and he is expected to head to Italy in the first half of the 2026/27 season.

With that in mind, the club are considering a move that would add him to Cassiano Klein's squad from January 2027.

Although a switch abroad appears highly probable, a return to Portugal has not been ruled out for now. Benfica remain an option if the right conditions are met.

In 2025/26, Pauleta made 43 appearances for Sporting, scoring 26 goals and winning a Supertaça and a Champions League. Benfica won the Campeonato Nacional, Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga.
