Paulo Victor established as Alanyaspor’s first-choice goalkeeper at 39 | OneFootball

Brazilian goalkeeper Paulo Victor is enjoying one of the best spells of his career in Europe, established as Alanyaspor’s first-choice goalkeeper this season in Türkiye.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the 39-year-old has emerged as a team leader in 2026, with Alanyaspor sitting 10th in the national league.

He has made 12 appearances for the club and appears settled after earlier stints in Portugal, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He holds dual Brazilian and Italian nationality.

A product of Flamengo’s youth ranks, Paulo Victor graduated to the senior side and was part of the squad that won the Brasileirão in 2009. He remained until 2017, when he moved to Gaziantepspor in Türkiye.

While he continues his campaign in Türkiye, Flamengo turn to their next assignment. On Thursday, 16, they face Independiente Medellín in the second round of the Libertadores at 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
