Nottingham Forest face a fraught run-in with eight games left to secure Premier League safety. Goal difference separates them from 18th-placed West Ham after Sunday’s 0-0 with Fulham, and a lack of cutting edge remains a concern.

Spurs manager Igor Tudor said, “It's a long way to our goal, which is to stay in the Premier League. Still a lot of games to play, but it was important to show what they showed, independently of the result.” Football.London carried his comments.

After the stalemate, Vitor Pereira called the task a marathon, urging a fight for points home and away. He believes it will be tight until the end and hopes Forest can stay clear. He highlighted the quality of Tottenham, West Ham and Leeds.

This weekend’s trip to Tottenham looks pivotal, though Forest first have the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie against FC Midtjylland. Pereira has hinted the relegation fight has to take priority.

While Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley look bound for the drop, the picture above them is congested. Forest and West Ham sit on 29 points, Spurs have 30 and Leeds are on 32.

Winger Dan Ndoye called every match a cup final, saying the players’ future is in their own hands if they work and stick together. He felt there were positives and believes the squad have what they need to stay up if they maintain that level.
