The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) have confirmed a quartet of Manchester City nominations for their most prestigious end-of-season awards.
While the Sky Blues narrowly relinquished their Premier League trophy chase to Arsenal at the end of a fierce season-long battle, incoming manager Enzo Maresca inherits a roster brimming with quality from the legendary Pep Guardiola.
The recognition provides a significant morale boost to the blue half of Manchester as Sporting Director Hugo Viana balances squad management objectives ahead of the opening of the latest summer transfer window.
The nominations underline the successful integration executed by the club during a transitional campaign, with established elite figures standing alongside rising talent to validate City’s development plans.
With the footballing world shifting its focus toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America – set to kick off on June 11 – the nominations offer a final, prestigious celebration of domestic English football’s top individual performers.
As confirmed by the PFA, both Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland have been nominated for the 2026 Players’ Player of the Year award, joined by Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, as well as Arsenal’s Gabriel, David Raya, and Declan Rice.

Rayan Cherki’s remarkable achievement of hitting both shortlists highlights the immediate impact the French playmaker has engineered in England, instantly winning the respect of his professional peers.
The inclusion of young midfielder Nico O’Reilly further cements the City Football Academy’s glowing reputation as a premier assembly line for elite, first-team-ready talent capable of performing at the top of the game.

Before the winners are formally unveiled, many of the nominees will lock horns on the international stage during the expanded World Cup tournament across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
