The six nominees for the 2025/26 PFA Player of the Year award have been announced.
Arsenal have three nominations for the prestigious prize, having won a first Premier League title in 22 years this season. Declan Rice, Gabriel Maghalaes and David Raya have all been voted onto the final six-player shortlist, for their roles in Arsenal’s title triumph.
Raya is bidding to become just the second goalkeeper to win the award, after Pat Jennings in 1976.
Manchester City duo Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland are also included, with the latter having won the Premier League’s Golden Boot. Haaland won the PFA Player of the Year award in 2022/23 and is seeking a second accolade.
Bruno Fernandes, who won the FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season awards, completes the shortlist. The Manchester United captain set a new Premier League record after providing 21 assists this season.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday, 25th August at the PFA Awards Ceremony in Manchester.
