Sunderland were beaten late on in Premier League action at Villa Park, Tammy Abraham deciding it for the hosts after Wilson Isidor had levelled at 3-3.
According to Sunderland Echo, these were the player ratings on the day.
Robin Roefs, six, could do little about the goals. He produced strong saves and had an early reprieve after missing a corner as Onana hit the bar.
Nordi Mukiele, six, caused problems with his aggressive positioning and competed well. His use of the ball was below his best.
Luke O'Nien, five, faced perhaps his toughest examination against the outstanding Ollie Watkins. He struggled to contain him and survived some awkward moments.
Omar Alderete, seven, was largely excellent, progressive in possession and dominant in the air. He was withdrawn just after the hour and left hobbling, which might concern Sunderland.
